1. Who We Are
Easy Employment Services ("we", "us") operates easyemployment.in, a job board and employment agency based at 1661/3, 2nd Floor, Near Lifeline Hospital, Dashmesh Nagar, Gill Road, Ludhiana, Punjab 141003, India. We act as a recruitment intermediary — connecting candidates with prospective employers in India and overseas — and are not the employer. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.
For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below, and you are the Data Principal.
2. Scope and Legal Framework
This policy applies to easyemployment.in and to the recruitment services we provide through it. We process personal data in accordance with the DPDP Act and other applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. Where we place candidates overseas, additional obligations may apply under Indian emigration law and under the law of the destination country.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you create an account, submit an application, or contact us — and, where applicable, for the legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as complying with a legal obligation. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see section 9).
3. Information We Collect
- Account information — name, email address, and sign-in details when you create an account. Authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk.
- Profile and resume — details you provide during onboarding (such as phone number, location, and work preferences) and any resume you upload.
- Applications — the jobs you apply to and the information submitted with each application, including through our public application form.
- Contact messages — information you send through the contact form, delivered to us by email.
- Usage and technical data — analytics about how the site is used (via Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics), error reports (via Sentry), and IP addresses used for security measures such as rate limiting.
4. Overseas Placements and Identity Documents
If you pursue an overseas role, the placement process may require copies of identity, travel, educational, or medical documents — for example a passport, visa paperwork, qualification certificates, or a medical fitness certificate. These documents are collected by our staff outside this website (in person, or by email or messaging) and are not uploaded through easyemployment.in.
We collect such documents only where they are needed for a specific placement, visa, or emigration requirement, we share them only with the prospective employer and the authorities or agents involved in that placement, and we retain them only as long as that process and applicable law require.
5. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To process job applications and connect you with employers as part of the placement process.
- To send transactional emails, such as application confirmations.
- To respond to enquiries sent through the contact form.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site, including preventing abuse.
6. Storage and Sharing
Profile data, applications, and resumes are stored with our database and storage provider, Supabase. Resumes are kept in private storage and accessed through time-limited links — they are not publicly available. We share your application details and resume with prospective employers only as part of processing your job applications. Once an employer receives your details, they hold their own copy and act as an independent controller of it; you may need to contact them directly about that copy. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Service Providers
We rely on the following providers to run the service. Each processes personal data only as needed to provide its function:
- Clerk — authentication and account sign-in.
- Supabase — database and private file storage for profiles, applications, and resumes.
- Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly traffic analytics.
- Upstash — temporary caching and rate limiting, which processes IP addresses.
- Google Analytics — website usage analytics.
- Sentry — error and performance monitoring, which may capture technical details of a failed request.
- Zoho Mail — delivery of transactional and notification email.
- Google (Gemini API) — used by our staff to help draft job listing descriptions. It does not process candidate personal data.
Some of these providers operate servers outside India. Where your data is transferred abroad, we rely on the provider's contractual and security commitments to protect it.
8. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your personal data for as long as it is needed to provide our recruitment services to you. While your account is active — for example, if you sign in, update your profile, or apply to jobs — we continue to hold your data so that we can keep working with you.
We periodically review dormant accounts and applications, and delete or anonymise personal data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for. You can also delete your account at any time (see section 9). We may retain certain records for longer where we are required to do so by law — for example, record-keeping obligations connected to overseas placements — or where needed to establish or defend a legal claim.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
- Correction and updating — correct or complete inaccurate data. You can edit most of this yourself from your profile.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data.
- Withdraw consent — at any time. This does not affect processing already carried out before you withdrew it.
- Nominate — appoint another person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (section 12) and, if it is not resolved, escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.
Deleting your account. Deleting your account from your profile page removes your profile, your sign-in identity, every resume file you uploaded (both your saved profile resume and any attached to an individual application), and the domestic and overseas applications you submitted while signed in. Submissions made through our public application form are not linked to an account and are removed on request. Copies already shared with a prospective employer are held by that employer independently.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@easyemployment.in. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
10. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies that are necessary for sign-in sessions (set by Clerk) and analytics cookies (set by Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. Analytics currently load on all visits. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
11. How We Protect Your Data
Access to candidate data is restricted to authorised staff. Resumes are held in private storage and served only through short-lived links rather than public URLs, database access is governed by row-level security so that signed-in users can reach only their own records, and traffic is protected in transit by HTTPS. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to keep these measures current.
12. Children
Our services are intended for people aged 18 or over. Under the DPDP Act a "child" is anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of children, and we do not carry out tracking or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Grievance Officer
If you have a question, request, or complaint about how we handle your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer:
- Grievance Officer, Easy Employment Services
- Email: info@easyemployment.in
- Phone: +91 90414 39829
- 1661/3, 2nd Floor, Near Lifeline Hospital, Dashmesh Nagar, Gill Road, Ludhiana, Punjab 141003, India
We aim to acknowledge grievances promptly and resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
